Once Upon a Time - About Us

I am a graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education and a German minor. While attending school, I worked in a church nursery, a preschool, babysat and was a camp counselor. After College, I worked as a nanny for triplet newborns and a 7 year old.

I began my teaching career in 1997 as a Kindergarten teaching aide while also working in the after-school program in San Diego. I taught middle school and high school art for eight years and coached cheerleading for five years. In 2006 I became certified to teach Kindermusik to children 6 and under.

I am married with two sons who are two and five years old. I currently teach Sunday school to 3 and 4 year olds at St. Bartholomew's Church in Poway, Ca. I chose to begin planning parties for other families because I have an innate ability to entertain and create activities for children of all ages. After working full time and then staying at home with two kids, I know there is not enough hours in the day to plan a party on top of everything else that needs to be done.
